Another Dimension

If this is ‘HUMANity’, I’d rather be INhuman.

on June 1, 2020

It’s almost ridiculous, if not disdainful, how most humans think their lives are constantly checkered with difficulties, hardships and uphill trudges vis-à-vis the sad state of existence and conveniently ignored struggles of the animals they are surrounded by.

“Everything is dispensable at the cost of human lives” has given way to “everything is dispensable at cold human will.” Perhaps, a rare few care about the living conditions and well being of this unfortunate lot.

Animals are slaughtered in schematic abundance especially for satisfying taste buds & appeasing palates in addition to so many other practices that can be easily done away with; but who cares two hoots?

The human race thrives in glee and luxurious abandon minus an iota of regret or a conscience to answer to. The same people who are taught to ‘love all’ love putting up acts of great moral value in public but in reality are hardened to overlook acts of selfishness & cruelty towards the underprivileged and helpless.

That juicy steak on the plate was once a hapless & clueless living being which breathed & felt pain but could neither speak for nor defend itself … did the thought cross any human’s mind to be a little humane and considerate ? To be a little sensitive and forego a twang on the tongue so that the industry which slaughters and dices up living beings loses one drop of water from its ocean of sustenance ?

If this is ‘HUMANity’, I’d rather be INhuman.

Indeed the most cunning and intelligent, Almighty made,
Except the fact drenched in melancholy, and bitter regret,
By mistake.
Of animals they are so fond,
These humans,
They slaughter them, despite this ‘bond’,
To an extent, such, are they blind,
That, even the Pacific is a pond;
The contrary to the their common noun are they,
Reckless, selfish, unkind, in a way that is beastly,
“Justice served” so they say,
But, how was that possible if, humans woke up to see another day?
Contributing to industries, so cruel,
Strangling innocents to death,
The pain, those screams of deafening silence & tears unwept,
Ought they to haunt you,
To all such ‘humans’ in abundance
Not few.
If this is humanity, I’d rather be inhuman,
To savor a life of generosity and fun.
Dwelling in the world you do,
Might be easy for you,
To see newborns snatched from mothers,
To be slashed into two,
For the mere existence of money and people like you.
The world I survey
From the perspective of an animal,
Not a single human, but giants, lurid and tall,
Mastered the art,
Of inculcating violence in children through non violent means,
When the food on the plate, was the flesh with blood and sweat, you were munching on,
With no regrets,
For you were a ‘human’,
And, knew your fate.
Do you have a heart? And, what about guilt?
Don’t you assume YOU were the the reason animals were built,
Not an idea do you have, with what those animals must have dealt,
Undercover, a hypocrite in dress,
Believing in Love,
But, you could never care less.
